The “Rooted in Real” International Event

On April 16, 2026, the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) Women in IP Law Committee pulled off its annual Global Networking Event, which is unique because it happens simultaneously across dozens of cities worldwide on the exact same day.

Moving completely away from standard corporate fluff, this year’s core theme was "Rooted in Real - Women in IP Redefining the Narrative." The workshops focused heavily on raw, authentic professional storytelling, essentially training female IP practitioners on how to pitch complex technical assets, build personal authority, and command a room during high-stakes litigation panels.

The event has helped bridge massive international firms with highly active local IP hubs across the globe. Ground-level meetups rolled out synchronously in major legal centers, including London (hosted by Keltie), Amsterdam (hosted by Hoyng Rokh Monegier), Vienna (hosted by CMS), and key patent-heavy cities in India like Ahmedabad and New Delhi.
